Jejunum - 129 (human)

Look at slide 129 for the appearance of the jejunal wall in the human.  Notice that the mucosa is thrown up into permanent folds (plicae circulares) with a submucosal core.  Is this a cross or longitudinal cut through the wall?  (Both are represented in our slide set).

Find the best area for showing the height of the villi and the depth of the crypts.  Goblet cells are conspicuous .  How do the thickness of wall layers compare with those of the previous slide?
